Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exodus 20:8
The Sabbath was made for mankind.
God knows us so well that we tend to want to “do it all”, that He commanded us to rest on the seventh day. He even led by example by resting after the 6th day of creation (Genesis 2:3). The 7th day is set apart to be kept holy.
Today, I am very thankful for the Sabbath. I normally attend church on this day or meet up with my Bible study group, but I am also grateful to just stay in and rest as I tend to be exhausted due to anemia.

Gratitude is an attitude 
I love the Sabbath. It is my day of rest too. I made that rule years ago, and when people try to get me to do something I stand firm and explain, I am not perfect. I sin everyday, and come short of the glory of God but this task, rest, can I not manage that? Can I not for just one day a week do what the LORD told me to do? Yes I can. Great thing to be thankful for me love 🙂
