Day 101 of 366: thankful for daily devotions

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

Romans 12:11

I am utmost grateful for daily devotions! I am currently reading “Life Promises for Eternity” by Randy Alcorn and although I may not agree with everything he wrote, I want to share my favorite passage from the book thus far. It’s taken from God’s Greatest Gift (page 117):

Flowers are beautiful for one reason – God is beautiful. Rainbows are stunning because God is stunning. Puppies are delightful because God is delightful. Sports are fun because God is fun. Study is rewarding because God is rewarding. Work is fulfilling because God is fulfilling.Β

We serve an amazing God! πŸ™Œ

  1. I use to but now my daily devotionals come by way of my family of bloggers πŸ™‚ Y’all pull out quotes, verses, insight that simply enrich me in so many ways. For that I am thankful πŸ™‚ I have discovered that the LORD doesn’t do what I want Him to do, He does what is best for me. I know, I know we should ALL know this, and I thought I knew this but He has really been showing it to me lately.

  2. Diana, I appreciate you sharing. I have used a variety of shorter devotions, and I follow WP writers who share God’s Word. The past few months I have also been reading from Oswald Chambers MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST. I have appreciated the deepness of his writings.
