“They cried there, ‘Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a big noise;
He has let the appointed time pass by!’
Noise can mean interruption and a disruption of thought, but last evening after making some coffee during the study of Exodus 3, I took some time to just look out the window and listen: creatures were expressing their rights to behave as animals, neighbors were talking loudly, the river could barely be heard, and across the river, cars were making one last trip while people loudly carried on. And in this noise, I somehow found a sense of peace for life certainly do need to be loud at times.
I am thankful for the cacophony of noise that reminds me that it’s beautiful to be alive.
What are you thankful for today?
