Day 264 of 366: thankful that I can stand on God’s Word.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,

neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

It’s sad to see and hear Christians put the Living Word down. To question the contents of the Bible and saying that God’s Word is not 100%. To hear them say that Revelation is not real and that Jesus is not returning. It makes my heart ache. All I can do for them is pray.

I am thankful that I am rooted in the Word.

Let the beet drop!

Yesterday, I was thankful for vegetables, and although I mentioned beetroot, it deserves to get a dedicated post. Beets are rich in iron and folic acid, and as someone that suffers from anemia, it’s highly recommended in my diet.

It’s a good thing I’ve always loved beets so there ain’t no need to beet myself up when it comes to eating it. Sides, it can beet anemia!

Vegetables are so versatile, that lately, I find myself enjoying them in snacks, salads, and food. I love it stewed, stir-fried, boiled, and even baked. I’m not really into juice as I prefer milk drinks, but who knows? My favorite vegetables are corn, potatoes, cucumber, peppers of every kind, and beetroot. 

I am thankful for vegetables.

Today, my sister turns one year wiser! I am so happy to have her in my life. Denise is fun to be around, and she brings so much to others with her fantastic cooking. When she was, but a baby, she was in a coma, so looking at the adult that she is today, I know God has placed her here for a reason just as He has placed all of us.

I am super thankful for my sister! 💙

The bamboo is an amazing plant! It can grow up to 130 feet tall! Here’s what so amazing about this plant: for the first six years, nothing shoots out from the ground, for during this time, its roots are developing. Then when the 7th year rolls around, BAM! A shoot appears and the plant just grows and grows and grows!

It’s quite spectacular!

Languages are amazing! I’ve always been intrigued with languages as a child and one of my greatest wish was to learn every one of them… I soon learned that was impossible as I grew older, but it didn’t stop me from creating characters that spoke every single language in the world! I’m currently back on Duolingo picking up the slack where French and Spanish is concerned, and I am thankful for this app.

As I opened my eyes this morning, I thought of how wonderful it is to be alive despite the storms I’m currently navigating through with Jesus. The sun is out shining, the coffee was wonderfully hot, and my family are safe and sound. This is bliss for me.

A little while ago, I posted about Mom finding abandoned kittens that were left to die by the garbage. There were five in total, but only one survived, and we named him Jeremiah. I’ll be doing an update on the main blog soon, but Jeremiah is healthy, almost 4 months, and is a loving ball of fur! I enjoy watching him grow.

I am thankful for cats and for the beauty that is Jeremiah!
