Day 305 of 366: thankful for online learning

I’ve always favored online learning, for I learn at my own pace and there’s no pressure from teachers. My first online adventure was with Penn Foster when I did Freelance Writing, and I enjoyed the experience a lot. Now, that I have the time, I’m currently enrolled in two online language classes and I’m enjoying it.

I am thankful for online learning.

I am thankful for emails! I’ve always found it amazing how someone can live on the other side of the world and just a simple interaction via email can make it feel as if we’re sitting side by side in a café, conversing over coffee.

Email is a wonderful little nugget and I’m thankful that I can reach so many loved ones over this communicative method.

Cranberries are enjoyed as a sauce or juice, but I prefer them dried as a snack… which are called crasins. I recently brought a pack and it was so yummy, I couldn’t stop eating, and the entire pack finished in one day! The plans to put some in yogurt or food was forgotten.

I am thankful for cranberries.

Day 302 of 366: thankful for tiramisu!

Tiramisu translates to “cheer me up” and boy, do I feel cheered up whenever I indulge in this delicious dessert! I wanted to give it a go, but at current, we have to get a new fridge, so I have to hold out on making my first tiramisu. In the meantime, I’ll continue to buy and indulge.

I am utmost thankful for tiramisu!

Although I was expecting 2020 to be rocky, I was not expecting it to be, well, downhill from March to now. My job shut down and the savings for my vacation dwindled as I had no other choice but to use it. However, through it all, I kept looking forward, for I know this phase that I’m currently in is the reset period. I’m alive, I have hope, and I am well in my spirit.  

Despite the ups and downs, I am thankful to have made it this far all thanks to God.

Today was such a beautiful day! My sister and I dropped off stationery concerning a little school drive that we put together and then traveled to town to purchase a few necessities. As soon as we got home, it started to pour buckets, and we thanked God for getting us home safe, sound, and before it started to pour.

I am thankful for today’s rainfall, for it was certainly the highlight of our day.

My father talks about respect all the time, but it’s not something that I tend to dwell on as I know that we have to respect ourselves and also others. However, the lack of respect I’ve been seeing when it comes to elders, parents, and even for the head of state is quite alarming. The youths are growing up to “express their opinion” in such a disrespectful way, that it’s no wonder we have a problem with this generation going forward.

Parents, please teach your children to respect others in society for we should love our neighbors as ourselves. 

I am thankful for respect.

Opinions can be hard to swallow for some, but I like hearing others’ opinions, just as I like sharing mine. We all have opinions about everything, but we need to be gentle and not be harsh when bringing them across.
