For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
1 Timothy 6:10
Money is something I took for granted when I started off working. I spent it badly on things I did not need with the ignorant thought of getting more just because I had a job. Eventually, I came to value the importance of money and started saving to purchase things I need the most such as clothes and food. Yes, I splurged sometimes especially on books, but now, I splurge carefully.
I am thankful that I have enough money to meet my needs. I am thankful that I still have some savings in my account. And I am mindful that money doesn’t belong to me, but God.
