Day 276 of 366: thankful for my youngest sister

How time flies! Today is my youngest sister’s birthday, and she’s having a blast thus far, despite having to work on this day. Here’s the thing, Denisia has been my first and biggest support when I first started to write. She read every story, even if it was not in her favorite genres. We share a mutual love for many things including drawing, which we’ve been doing once again lately.

Like most, if not all sisters, we do have our little disagreements, but I’m blessed to have her in my life.

Day 271 of 366: thankful that my dad is still here

My earthly father was strict with us growing up, and I’m glad that he was, for that partially inspired the woman that I am today. He didn’t complete his education, but later on, he became one of the top professionals in His area after studying hard.

And let me tell you, dad took his studies seriously!

I wish I had the zeal and commitment to study as hard as he did, but my learning process is different. Today, he’s still as strong as he was 30 years ago despite back problems and still energetic. 

I am thankful that my dad is still alive. I am thankful that he lives to see another milestone. Happy birthday, dad!

Today, my sister turns one year wiser! I am so happy to have her in my life. Denise is fun to be around, and she brings so much to others with her fantastic cooking. When she was, but a baby, she was in a coma, so looking at the adult that she is today, I know God has placed her here for a reason just as He has placed all of us.

I am super thankful for my sister! 💙

Those of you that know Tammy, knows that she means the world to me. The Lord has placed us in each other’s lives at a time when He knew we needed each other, and if I must say, we balance off each other well. I can talk to her about anything, and she never judges; she’s always there with listening ears. She wouldn’t hesitate to call me out if I’m in the wrong and I love that about her.

She celebrated a birthday earlier this month, and I am thankful that she lived to see another birthday.

Most of all, I am thankful that I can call Tammy my best friend and sister.

Yesterday, I turned one year older and I had some reflecting to do. Am I living the right way that God wants me to? Am I following in the footsteps of Jesus when it comes to humility? As a Christian woman, am I embodying Christianity? I had to practice the pause to reflect honestly on my answers, but I continue to grow where my faith is concerned.
