Day 356 of 366: thankful that I live in my father’s house

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?

John 14:2

John 14:2 has been on my mind lately. And every time I think of the verse, it makes me smile. I live in my earthly father’s house all because he didn’t want me to rent an apartment to pay multiple expenses. And given the renting situation that I’m currently witnessing, I’m glad that I listened to my father.

I am thankful that I live in my father’s house.

I am thankful that there is a room prepared for me in the coming Kingdom.

Day 355 of 366: thankful that God rejoices!

The Lord your God is with you,
    the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
    in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
    but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Zephaniah 3:17

God created the world and all that is in it. He cares that we do not perish, so much, that whenever one sinner repents and comes home, there is singing and rejoicing. It shows how great His love is for us as the verse above shows us. 

I am thankful that there is rejoicing in Heaven over one sinner that receives Christ as his/her Savior.

Day 354 of 366: thankful that Mom’s wrist is coming along

But I will restore you to health
    and heal your wounds,’
declares the Lord,
‘because you are called an outcast,
    Zion for whom no one cares.’

Jeremiah 30:17

Two weeks ago, Mom broke her wrist after slipping on wet grass and had to make a trip to the hospital to get her wrist bandaged. We had to change our schedule to work around hers, but she’s a strong woman and refuses to be babied! 😄

I am thankful that my mother’s wrist is healing with time.

I used to collect quotes especially spiritual, inspirational, and funny ones. There’s something so powerful about a quote and I can relate to some of them I can relate to.

I am thankful for quotes and I’m thankful that the internet gives me quick access to them.

Day 352 of 366: thankful for museums

Although we don’t have a museum as stunning as The Louvre, I enjoy visiting our local museums. One of the best I’ve visited was the Military Museum, but it’s sad how the caretakers are letting artifacts, articles, and history just go to waste by not taking care of it. I’ve read that museums are keeping up with the digital age, but here, most museums are content to stay where they are.

Regardless, I am thankful for museums.

I always joke that it’s good that I don’t have a credit card otherwise I would’ve spent every single cent on Amazon. Sad, but true, though, for Amazon has so many great products that I just want to order… and horde. So what I normally do is look at the items I want and send the links to a friend to order them for me. At the moment, I’m browsing items that I need somewhat urgently.

I am thankful for Amazon and its variety of products in one place.

Day 350 of 366: thankful for the institution of marriage

That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.

Genesis 2:24

A good friend of mine is engaged to be married and I am thrilled for her! Marriage is to be treated as God intended it to be: holy. It’s supposed to be spirit-fill. It is not a burden, but a blessing. It is a covenant. Over the years, I’ve witnessed marriage became a spectacle thanks to Hollywood taking a lot of the marriage scriptures out of context.

I am thankful that God instituted marriage in the Garden of Eden when He made Eve for Adam.

I was counting down to December 31st. I had planned to announce my departure from the blogging world, but alas! God had other plans for me. So now, instead of closing La Petite Muse as I hoped to be, it’s now in relaunch mode.

I am thankful for the relaunch of something old into something new. I am thankful for God’s direction every step of the way. I am thankful that I can share God’s blessings virtually.

I can’t stay on at all as I have to help my Mom given that her wrist is broken (please keep her in prayers), but I’ve been harvesting an okra project for the past few months and it finally grew, bloom, and bear.

Day 347 of 366: thankful for the new direction

Of late, I’ve been preparing for a new adventure that will no doubt see me take on bigger responsibilities. I have to say that I’m both excited and nervous about this step, but I trust the process for I see God’s Hand in this. If/when it takes off, I’ll talk more of it, but for now, it’s in the planning stages. Baby steps.

I am thankful always for God’s direction for it’s the right one.
