Day 36 of 366: thankful for so many languages!

“Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.”

Genesis 11:7

I love languages! Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve wanted to speak all the languages in the world. Of course, that is impossible, but I enjoy learning new words in different languages especially in French which is my favorite language to learn… now, to conquer it, that’s a different story altogether.

I also love how God is praised and worshiped in so many languages!

I am thankful for the melodious potpourri of languages worldwide. For the bold Italian, the rhythmic Spanish, the quickly spoken Patios, the beauty of Hindi, and the melodious French.

What language do you admire apart from your mother tongue?

Day 30 of 366: thankful for speakers

Moreover, the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty when He speaks.

Ezekiel 10:5

I am currently sitting at my second desk trying to come up with ideas for two designs. I went to listen to French as I work, but the volume was a little problematic on the computer, so I ended up using speakers to listen to the conversational practice. I tend to take speakers for granted, but not today! 😀

The simplest things are also to be thankful for and today, I am thankful for the sound coming through the speakers and the reminder that I always need to listen for the voice of God no matter where I might be.
