The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.
Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Free will is something that we tend to wrestle with. We’re happy that we get to choose how our fate is determined, but in the end, it comes to choosing God or choosing to live without Him.

I am thankful that I have the ability to choose God and to place my trust and faith in Him.
