Day 218 of 366: thankful for poetry

Gracious words are a honeycomb,

I’ve come to appreciate and love poetry as early as 7 years old if I recall properly. I used to spend lots of time writing all sorts of poetry, but just as all my other passions (writing and art especially), I fell out of love with it. With all this time God has blessed me with, I found poetry again and remembered why I loved it in the first place.

I am thankful for poetry, and although I have a handful of favorites, “Stopping by Woods on A Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost is my absolute top. The last stanza hits hard and gives me something to think about every time I read it.
