Day 346 of 366: thankful for the French language

And he said to me, โ€œYou must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.โ€

Revelation 10:11

French. It’s the only language I’ll love to become fully fluent in one day, but I just don’t have the commitment to make it work. I learn it from time to time, but I still feel as if I’m not putting enough effort into it. However, it still remains the most beautiful language I’ve ever heard and I’ll try harder to commit to learning.

I am thankful for the French language.

Day 345 of 366: thankful for Vietnam!

And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

Genesis 10:10

I’ve always been intrigued by Vietnam. And lately, my love for the country has grown thanks to the products I’ve been using including the best 3 in 1 coffee I’ve ever had! That coffee was on another level. I’ve marked Vietnam as a place of interest to visit for their cities, beaches, and food, but for now, I visit through the virtual world.

I am thankful that Vietnam is a place and that it exists.

Day 344 of 366: thankful for ears to hear

The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge,
ย ย ย ย for the ears of the wise seek it out.

Proverbs 18:15

I’m a little disappointed lately where it concerns “not seeing what’s in front of me” figuratively speaking. And because I keep missing those signs, I had to wonder why I didn’t pay any attention to them. It was then I realized that I was not listening despite having two ears. So, I’ve made a vow to be more in-tune with the melody around me.

I am thankful for ears to hear.

Day 343 of 366: thankful for the sun

The sun rises and the sun sets,
ย ย ย ย and hurries back to where it rises.

Ecclesiastes 1:5

Ecclesiastes 1:5 is very straight forward about the cycle of the sun. The sun doesn’t live by the clock and we can learn so much from this marvelous shiny wonder. Here are my top 2:

^ The sun does its job without looking for recognition; for it’s the sun’s duty to shine. When we perform a task, we shouldn’t be looking for ways to elevate ourselves. Doing great things shouldn’t be about recognition. Do your job; let God do the rest.

^ The sun knows its place. It knows when to shine, and when to bow out, never taking the moon’s turn in the spotlight away. Just as the sun knows its place, we too should know when to take and when to bow out of the spotlight.

I am thankful that the sun rises and sets worldwide.

I am thankful that the sun makes way for the moon to shine.

I am thankful for lessons from the sun.

Day 342 of 366: thankful for islands

Sing to theย Lordย a new song,
ย ย ย ย his praiseย from the ends of the earth,
you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it,
ย ย ย ย you islands,ย and all who live in them

Isaiah 42:10

I can’t stay long today for Mom broke her wrist after slipping on wet grass, and we’re tending to her. Today,ย I am thankful for islands.

I am also thankful that I live on an island.

Day 341 of 366: thankful for soap

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9

Soap is for cleansing dirty things. Be it clothes, wares, or the body. For me, soap is a daily reminder of Christ cleansing our dirty sins.ย

I soap you know I am thankful for you, soap. ๐Ÿ˜„

Day 340 of 366: thankful for lessons from the ants ๐Ÿœ

Go to the ant, O sluggard;
ย ย ย ย consider her ways, andย be wise.

Without having any chief,
ย ย ย ย officer, or ruler,

she prepares her breadย in summer
ย ย ย ย andย gathers her food in harvest.

Proverbs 6:6-8

Ants are always on the move, and they never seem to take a vacation. Maybe that’s a good thing for I’ve learned a lot just by watching them go about their daily activity:

^ Serve one another.

^ All good and hard work is done little by little.

^ By dividing the tasks, everyone benefits from the success.

^ By having a purpose, you have a long term goal that’ll shape what you do.

^ Carry workloads that you can handle.ย

While I am not entirely thankful for ants as they can be a household pest, I am thankful for the lessons they’ve taught me.

Day 339 of 366: thankful for apples and pears!

Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.

Matthew 3:8

Growing up, I ate a lot of apples that I eventually fell out of love with the fruit. But the love is returning. I ate my first apple in two years or so and it was so delicious that I had to sink my teeth into another one immediately.

Also, I’m happy the pear exists! I don’t care if it’s a poor man’s apple, I love pears, and I’ve been having them a lot lately… more than any other fruit. I also love how versatile both fruits can be when it comes to salads, baking, and cooking.

I am thankful for apples and pears!

Day 338 of 366: thankful that I lack nothing

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Psalm 23:1

Maybe I’ve said it already, but the Lord provides all of my needs. When I needed water, He sent rain for a few days straight. When I needed money for medical needs, He provided. God is AMAZING! I serve a real and living God, and He is my constant Source of provision.

Taste and see that the Lord is good! For He absolutely is! This month is a reflective one for me as 2020 comes to a close, so things may get a little repetitive.

I am thankful that the Lord provides no matter the situation I’m in.

I am thankful that I lack nothing.

Day 337 of 366: thankful for pizza

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 4:4

I couldn’t pass up a yummy pizza special: 2 large pizzas for next to nothing, so I ended up getting pizzas for lunch for the family. One was topped with pineapples, the other with beef and peppers. They were both soooo delicious!

I am thankful for pizza!
