The righteous care for the needs of their animals,
but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.
Proverbs 12:10
The first cat that moved in permanently many years ago was a homeless stray. We took her in and over the years, she became an honorary family member until her death several years ago. She has blessed us with beautiful fur babies, but they’re old now. Last year, a young kitten wandered into the yard and decided to stay although we alerted her owner about her whereabouts. Turns out the owner found her abandoned and took her in, but didn’t care enough to love it.
Cats want to be loved and when they’re loved, they return that love generously.
Long story short, the cat ended up staying and yesterday, she gave birth to her first litter of kittens: 5. I am thankful that she gave birth easily for she was not properly cared for when she first ventured into the yard, saw the other cats, and decided to call it her home.
I don’t any more, although someones cat in the neighbourhood as addopted the roof of my car as their bed LOL 🙂

Can you believe it’s the weekend already?! I thought Tuesday was Thursday: this shelter in place blends all the days together. Hope you have a restful and good Easter weekend!

Once this quarantine ends, it’ll take some transitioning back to a normal schedule.
Thank you, we did have a great weekend! Our church group usually does an Easter egg hunt for kids, but we had a mini one at home. I hid the eggs and stuffed them with little toys they forgot about. Going back to basics…
Hope you had a nice weekend too and feel rested for this upcoming week! It’s always great to hear from you and that you for your thoughtful comments. xoxox
